We couldn't believe how many cactii there were - and we had fun talking about cactus versus cactii. An English lesson on a nature hike. No matter how many we saw, Caleb remained amazed at finding more. I don't know if he'd ever seen a cactus before, so we had to explain why we don't want to touch them. That's my hiking stick leaning against the rock - every time we hike, Caleb wants to find a stick - and of course, because we want to leave it like we found it, we only get dead sticks from the ground and we put them back on the ground when we're done. So he's learning about preserving nature for all to enjoy, too.
